The True Cost : Official Teaser Trailer
As we become more aware of who makes the items we get for a few bucks at the nearest retail store, I'm hoping we can also start to see just how those decisions affect people trying to make a living in countries where there are few labor, safety, and environmental standards. This film promises to show us some of the impact we can all have.

Hot Coffee - Trailer
Seinfeld mocked it. Letterman ranked it in his top ten list. And more than fifteen years later, its infamy continues. Everyone knows the McDonald’s coffee case. It has been routinely cited as an example of how citizens have taken advantage of America’s legal system, but is that a fair rendition of the facts? Hot Coffee reveals what really happened to Stella Liebeck, the Albuquerque woman who spilled coffee on herself and sued McDonald’s, while exploring how and why the case garnered so much media attention, who funded the effort and to what end. After seeing this film, you will decide who really profited from spilling hot coffee.

You Don't Like the Truth - 4 Days Inside Guantánamo
Canadian-born Omar Khadr was 15 years old when he was captured by American forces, after a drawn-out firefight, in an Afghan village called Ayub Kheyl. A few months later, he became the youngest detainee at Guantánamo Bay.
You Don’t Like the Truth: 4 Days Inside Guantánamo is a bracing film about his interrogation (which took place a year later, in 2003) by Canadian intelligence agents. Directors Luc Côté and Patricio Henriquez based their 100-minute documentary on seven hours’ worth of security video from the interrogation (which lasted four days). The footage is hard to watch. But the questions this film raises have less to do with Khadr’s guilt or innocence than with our own, shifting ideas of right and wrong. (In limited release on September 28.)

Sweetgrass - Trailer
http://www.pbs.org/pov/sweetgrass "Sweetgrass" will air July 5, 2011 on PBS. Check local listings. "Sweetgrass" presents a riveting and poetic portrait of the American West just as one of its traditional ways of life dies out. Shot amidst the grandeur of Montana's Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, the film follows the last modern-day cowboys to lead their flocks of sheep up into the breathtaking and often dangerous mountains for summer pasture. Magnificently photographed and unsparingly candid, "Sweetgrass" discovers a world of harsh beauty and arduous labor, where humans still work in rugged intimacy with nature. (90 minutes)
