Peaches

Biting into a ripe, juicy peach has always been a favorite summer pleasure. How do you pick a great peach? Look for fruit with nice creamy golden tones and no green tinge. The amount of red depends more on variety than ripeness, so that's not really a good indicator. I also look for a deep ridge which indicates maturity, and a good peachy fragrance.

Here's a good trick for peeling a peach: Immerse it in boiling water for 30 to 60 second, then remove and pat dry. The skin will slip off like a fuzzy coat as you start to peel.
