A premature newborn baby delivered at the civic-run Sion Hospital was declared stillborn on Monday night—only to gasp to life five hours later while relatives were carrying her towards a cemetery. The hospital authorities have, prima facie, found evidence of negligence and an independent inquiry will be conducted.
