Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday morning, 'my friends'. What a beautiful day it is here in Ohio. We've had a couple of days of sunny weather with warm temperatures.........just wonderful!

Been a very busy week for me but a fun week. On Tuesday I attended a concert by Rain - a Beatles Tribute Band. I am a real Beatles purist - I can't stand it when Beatles music is used in commercials and don't like to hear anyone else do a Beatles song so I was a skeptic going into this but these guys were awesome - you'd think you were at a Beatles concert. I cried when they came out on a set that looked just like the set that was used when the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. If they ever come to your town I highly recommend them. I've already been to their website looking for them to come back through here so I can see them again. Was a great time. I placed a CBS news story about them at the bottom of this post.

On Thursday night I went to two hours of training for "Election Protection" as I am working the polls as an 'election protection' rep on Tuesday. Ohio is one of those states where we're expecting Republicans to challenge a lot of voters. The up side is that we have democrats in control here now, AND even in the worst case scenerio, I think it may not even matter how Ohio goes.

Friday we dressed up in the office and had a pot luck which was fun. I went as a witch doctor. I wore a lab coat, had my stethescope and wore a witch hat and hair and had a skull hanging from around my neck. I was Doctor Mojo Bombay, W.D.

Yesterday, I canvassed all day for Obama. Was great fun and met a lot of nice folks all pumped up for the election. Today I am going downtown to an Obama rally. Barack and Michelle will be there. The rally is on the state house lawn......which we can do because we have a democrat in the governor's seat.

I hope to relax when I get home. That's my week - how was yours?
