My Trip So Far

I left Columbus about 12:45 and was here by 6:15. Traffic was eerily light all the way. I thought it kind of odd. Very little truck traffic.

About 50 miles from my destination my sister calls me to ask if it's snowing. "No" I say...."why are you asking?" She said "I heard on the news Philadelphia is going to get 12" to 14" of snow." News to me.

When I checked into the hotel there was a message for me from my Director. I called her and she told me they may delay opening the office tomorrow because of the weather. The office is right across the parking lot. Isn't that rich? She will call me in the morning and let me know what the plan is. I ran out to the grocery store right after I checked in here - and nothing was going on weather wise. Within the last hour it has started coming down and the blacktop and grass are already covered in snow.

The room is very nice. Actually it's a suite at the Hyatt. There is a liv room with a flat screen TV, DVD player (I brought a couple DVD's I got in the mail from Blockbuster), a fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom. There is also free wifi which is what enables me to keep my fingers on the pulse of what's going on. I could live in a space like this. Would force me to get rid of all the crap I don't need and live very simply.

Anyway, I'm kind of pooped so am going to hit the sack. Hope everyone has a swell week.
