I'm a diabetic. Not all diabetic problems come from sugar as in sweets. Sugar, as you know, is in everything carbohydrate and if you eat too much fat, that turns into high blood sugar after a while as well.

I do get sweet cravings agter I've had a big meal. Even if it's a "good" meal, good, like healthy. To ward off this craving, I eat sugar free jello. Not a lot, but slowly using a small spoon. There are problems with the artificial swetteners in sugarless jello, but in moderation, I think it outweighs eating a dozen Krispy Cremes. Also, I suck on Altoids. One, two or three of them. The fruit ones are 1 gram each of carbs. They are sweet and reduce the craving. Then, get out of the kitchen or even the house and stop eating until morning.

Thanks for the health article.
