Sunday Stuff

Well another weekend has come and gone and I have finished most of the items on my list today. I still have to do some 'official' work yet today which I am going to do as soon as I get up from this chair. I would have gotten more done had I bothered to get out of my pajama's yesterday - but I didn't and instead laid around and did nothing but watch TV. PATHETIC! At least that laying around didn't include stuffing my face.

I picked this photo for my update because I recently took up knitting myself. I've learned to knit pretty effortlessly and tomorrow I will learn to 'pearl' - and my first project is going to be kitchen dish rags. Debbie, the woman I share an office with has been teaching me to knit during our lunch periods. I ran out to the craft store today to get some 100% cotton yarn for the dish rags and my own knitting needles.

Beautiful day here today. Sun is shining and we are in the 40's so the big melt has started. There is water and mud every place and my street is still a mess - having not been plowed as of today.

I have never watched a Super Bowl game in my life and don't intend to watch today. If I wrap up my work stuff I will use that time to run to the grocery store for some fruit/yogurt and other odds and ends. I have some stew meat in the pressure cooker that I just need to add some vegetables to and I am good to go for dinner and lunch tomorrow.

My daughter who broke her ankle in November will be having surgery on it next Friday. The ankle is still broken and not healing. She will be in a cast and on crutches for 6 weeks. Mama can not go to Dallas for six weeks to help. She has a good network of friends to help her and the kids father is there as well although my understanding is that he isn't much help.

I found out Friday that I have been tagged to go to our office in Philadelphia to train the new supervisors. They have opened a new call center with remote nurses and I will be going there to train them. I'd rather not go but I also know that in a growing company it's good to get your face and name out there especially at 'headquarters' or HQ as we call it. Plus it will also have an impact on raises I am sure. They are being very stingy with them this year so whatever I can do to insure my 2% raise is ok with me. I will go the very first week in March leaving on Sunday and coming back Wednesday and the same schedule the following week. I have opted to drive over so I don't have to depend on others to drive me around.

Well I have six phone audits to do this evening so I need to get moving. Hope you all have beautiful weather in the week ahead. I am so sick of winter.
