Office Blogging

Another rainy day today. I should have mowed the lawn yesterday evening while there was a break in the weather as this is supposed to continue for a couple of days and the lawn could have stood to be mowed yesterday even though I had just mowed it last Friday. Lawn food, rain and cool nights make for plush grass. I was too tired yesterday from all the chores and running around I did on Monday and Tuesday so I just chilled out at home and watched the president’s press conference before going to bed. The president actually told us to wash our hands vindicating me in my known roleas the office disease police. Now perhaps they will cut me some slack!

The interstate route I take to work was backed up this morning due to a four car accident so I had to jump onto the outer belt. It’s about of 10 miles more taking the outer belt……I hate to take the outer belt because its so dangerous. People drive like nuts and you always hear of fatal accidents on the outer belt…..BUT I am thankful I had a quick, easy, alternative to jump onto to avoid the traffic mess this morning. Took me 40 mins rather than 25 to get to the office but it was an uneventful trip.

I have gotten HUGE amounts of work done this morning. The boss is out of the office today and tomorrow and the woman I share an office with is out as well. I have completed some of my own required annual training, sent individual reports out to my staff on their productivity, caught up my emails, have even helped the nurses complete their patient load today. I will go home today feeling like I got a lot accomplished but for now, I'm kind of bored.

I am going to lunch in about a half an hour. I was going to go out and fill up my car with some petro, pick up a salad and pick up the office ‘Mega Million’ chances….however, right now it’s pouring down raining so I may have to rethink my plans. I am going out to dinner with my sisters this evening. We are going to a Greek place. That should be fun. I was very surprised that my sister, “2001 ways to make chicken” Sue picked it…..as she usually only eats chicken every place we go and she’s not big on trying new things so I am excited about this break through.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day as I know I will. I am so thankful for the rain which will make my grass green and help my flowers to grow.
