Spring Planting Progress
Here is some of the planting I've done around back along the back porch. A flat of red salvias, with some yellow snap dragons in front and then some little purple flower thingies in front of that. They don't look like much now - but after they've had some time to get established and then get a hit of fertilizer, they will be fine. I am going to put another bed in along the front of the porch. Most of the herbs you see in the rear are lavender and sage. I'm going to put herbs in my 'above ground' gardening trial - for which I am going to try to get the wood this week and then haul in bags of dirt when I am off Memorial Day weekend. I'll post a picture of the work in the front as soon as my yard grows out a bit. The guy I hired to mow over the weekend 'butchered' my yard and I am sick about it. It will grow back.

I'd like to be invited over and have a cold beer on that patio. It looks like a very nice place to sit around on lawn furniture while someone puts some burgers on the grill, oh, and with some home made potato salad, chips and dip, corn on the cob, baked beans and more beer. Any brand really, but no "light" beer. Make it some real beer. Okay?
Looks good!
Thats one of my favorite things to do - come home from work and head out back and sit and drink something fit for adult consumption. Not a big beer fan but I do like really cold beer when I'm spending a day outdoors doing yard work in the hot sun. I have a drawerful of Blue Moon just for that occassion.
So far so good. Congratulations!
(P.S. Too bad I live so far away. I'd love to be invited to that BBQ you two have planned.)
