How Banks are Trying to Get You to Opt-in to Costly Overdraft Protection

Starting this summer, banks will not be allowed to charge you a fee if you overdraw your checking account using your debit card. In the past, this has been a hugely lucrative way for banks to make a ton of fee income -- as high as $39 a pop. No more... unless they get your permission. Here are some of the clever (and sneaky) ways that banks are trying to get you to opt-in to overdraft protection and its high fees.
