'Crack" Recipe

I don't know what these are called - in the office we refer to it as "Crack"...after you taste them you'll know why.

1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup Karo syrup
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 bags of hull-less puffed corn (preferably Mike-sells brand)

Mix butter, brown sugar, Karo syrup, salt and vanilla together. Heat in microwave, stirring occasionally, until well mixed (typically around 3 minutes). Add baking soda and heat until mixture "puffs up" (typically around 2 minutes).

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Pour about 1 1/2 bags of puffed corn into a large greased pan. (We use a cheap aluminum turkey roasting pan.) Pour mixture over puffed corn and stir to make sure all corn is coated. Bake corn for approximately 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Spread out corn on wax paper to cool and ENJOY!

Damn, that sounds good! Lots O' sugar. No wonder they call it crack, sounds addicting.

Peace.
