Ohio State today became only the second team to win back-to-back Big Ten tournament championships when it took advantage of a tired Penn State team playing its fourth game in as many days.
Ohio State (32-2) became the only Big Ten team other than Michigan State in 1999 and 2000 to win consecutive tournament championships. The Spartans won the national championship in 2000.
The win also strengthened the Buckeyes' case for the No.1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
