WI GOP Leader Lies, Brags About Union-Busting in Fundraising Letter

Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald sent a braggy fundraising letter to supporters about GOP efforts to bring down unions, saying they "ruined California and Illinois, but they're not going to ruin Wisconsin.”

"That is because Republicans faced down Big Labor's bully tactics and a Democratic walk-out in the state Senate to break the power of unions like WEAC and AFSCME once and for all," Fitzgerald said in his letter.

In case Fitzgerald has forgotten, he is named as a defendant in a lawsuit to block the law he and his fellow Republicans voted on illegally. Yesterday, two state employees testified that he 'pushed a state agency to publish the statute after a court blocked the secretary of state from doing so,' reports Bloomberg.
