Gobble-It-Up Barbecue Turkey Thighs

Slow cooker recipes don't get much more exciting than low-fat turkey in Southern style barbeque sauce. Excite your taste buds tonight with these Gobble-It-Up Barbeque Turkey Thighs. Or substitute turkey with chicken!
Ingredients

* 1/2 cup ketchup
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 1 tablespoon quick-cooking tapioca
* 1 tablespoon vinegar
* 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
* 2 1/2 pounds turkey thighs, or meaty chicken pieces (breasts, thighs, and drumsticks), skinned
* rice or noodles, cooked

Instructions

1. In crockery cooker, combine ketchup, brown sugar, tapioca, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cinnamon, and red pepper.

2. Place turkey thighs or chicken pieces atop ketchup mixture, meaty side down and flat in the cooker.

3. Cover; cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 5 to 6 hours.

4. Serve turkey or chicken and sauce or hot cooked rice or noodles.
