In an expletive-filled video diatribe directed at gun control group Moms Demand Action, a gun rights activist pushed back at the group’s latest attempt to limit the open carry of weapons, telling the women to “Put a d*ck in your mouth and shut up!” in a video discovered by Liberaland.
Phoenix resident Rob Kinnison — who uploads pro-gun rants on YouTube under the name Raging Rob – posted the video in response to Moms Demand Action’s drive to get the country’s largest supermarket chain, Kroger, to ban open-carry in their stores.
In a bleep-filled tirade, Kinnison vociferously explains that he is going to continue sending photos of himself bearing his gun while at Kroger stores.

The gun supremacists’ folly
Nothing better reveals the utter irrationality of our politics for the whole world to see than this madness about guns — and no issue better demonstrates how deeply divided our nation is by region, ideology and party.
The New York Times reported that in the 12 months after the Sandy Hook shootings, 39 laws were enacted tightening gun restrictions; 25 were passed by state governments under full Democratic control. Seventy laws were passed loosening gun restrictions, 49 of them in Republican-controlled states. The Wall Street Journal cited data showing that 21 states strengthened firearms restrictions in 2013 and 20 weakened them.
Nowhere else in the world do the laws on firearms become the playthings of politicians and lobbyists intent on manufacturing cultural conflict. Nowhere else do elected officials turn the matter of taking a gun to church into a searing ideological question. But then, guns are not a religion in most countries.
The program for the NRA’s annual convention, held over the weekend in Indianapolis, listed sessions on “Survival Mindset: Are You Prepared?”; “Creating a Constitutionally Centered Estate Plan”; and “Refuse to be a Victim.”
Party on, guys. I can’t wait for you to figure out the ways in which even Georgia’s law is too restrictive. In the meantime, the nation’s unarmed majority might ponder how badly we have failed in asserting our own rights.

Study links racism, gun ownership and resistance to gun laws
A study published in the scientific journal forum PLOS ONE found that the presence of firearms in white homes in the U.S. is associated with higher incidences of racism and stiffer resistance to gun control policies. According to a press release from the University of Manchester, the study was led by University of Manchester and Monash University professor of Behavioral Studies Dr. Kerry O’Brien.
The study analyzed data from a large swath of white U.S. voters and was spurred by the vehemence of the gun control debate in this country in the wake of the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in New Town, Connecticut. O’Brien and his team mainly hail from the U.K., New Zealand and Australia and were curious about U.S. attitudes toward gun ownership.
“Coming from countries with strong gun control policies, and a 30-fold lower rate of gun-related homicides, we found the arguments for opposing gun control counterintuitive and somewhat illogical. For example, US whites oppose gun control to a far greater extent than do blacks, but whites are actually more likely to kill themselves with their guns, than be killed by someone else. Why would you keep them? So we decided to examine what social and psychological factors predict gun ownership and opposition to gun control.”

More Fact-Free Fun: Gun Lobbyist Says Obamacare Could Lead To Gun Confiscations, Concentration Camps
Larry Pratt is back to repeating his debunked conspiracy theory that the government is taking guns from veterans as part of a Nazi/Soviet plot. The Gun Owners of America head floated the false rumors that doctors are part of a government effort to confiscate veterans’ guns while appearing on the Talk To Solomon Show, with co-hosts Stan Solomon and Steve Davis.
Responding to Solomon’s claim that “the Obama administration is working to disarm every veteran” and will use Obamacare to “literally take away the rights of every American to have a firearm," Pratt alleged that the administration is spearheading “backdoor gun control.”

Poll: Plurality Of Voters Less Likely To Support An NRA-Endorsed Candidate
The National Rifle Association has limited sway over the American electorate, according to a survey released Tuesday from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling.
A slight plurality of voters nationwide, 39 percent, said they would be less likely to support a candidate who's earned an endorsement from the NRA, while just 26 percent of voters said they'd be more likely to back such a candidate. Thirty-two percent said the endorsement wouldn't make a difference on their vote.
A huge majority of Democrats, 62 percent, said an NRA endorsement would make them less likely to support a candidate. Forty-two percent of Republicans said they would be more likely to vote for an NRA-backed candidate, but 45 percent said it wouldn't make a difference.
