Sure, we expect CNN and MSNBC to lose viewers, but this is more surprising: Fox News’ viewership was down 11 percent in 2010, according to the Project for Excellence in Journalism. It’s the first time in a dozen years that all three cable news networks lost viewers: CNN somehow hemorrhaged 37 percent of its viewers, while MSNBC lost 5 percent. The Internet was the only medium whose audience grew in the survey, up 17 percent in 2010.
