Happy Father's Day, Dad

(This is an old post - I just moved it up and reposted again today)

Here are some photos of my father - who passed away at the young age of 38 - when I was just 15. I have missed having him in my life.

I'm sorry your dad died so young. I'm sure your fifteen years together provided a lifetime of loving memories. My dad just died in 2004 at the age of 91, and I miss him dearly some days. I have two boys now, though, and I hope to be an even better dad for them.

Have a great day!

Never seen pics of your dad before!
I love the way the old pics look.
He missed out on knowing you : ) as well as you knowing him better.
Take care.

My condolences. Sometimes our greatest pain is our greatest gift, what enables us to grow into something better than a simpleton.

Scanning your reading list, I'd say you are totally groovy.

I just finished 'American Theocracy' about a month ago, I loved that book. I learned so much about the religion of the South and how it reacted/transformed after the Civil War. What a trip.

I'm just blogmadd'n through, but I'm digging your site.

Thanks for sharing these pictures.

(If I say anything more I'll get way too emotional...)
