My Week in Review

Well I finished my days at the job. Monday, I begin my new job. I am so excited. After a few weeks of training in the office - I will be a remote nurse working out of my home. I am so relived. I was really burnt out at the other place and dreaded going in there each day. Now, there will be no more office drama - unless I create it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The photo is of a Wire Haired Fox Terrier I found on line at one of the local shelters. Although he doesn't look much like one in the photo he is a pure WHFT. I've wanted a WHFT for a long time and was surprised when I found him on line in a shelter. He's 4 mos old and an owner surrender. I went to meet him today and fell in love immediately. He's a very bouncy baby boy. Typical terrier. There are however several applications that were put in for him ahead of mine so, we'll see how it pans out. I told the woman when she told me that there were several other applications that "I was the best". She was taken aback by my bold assertion:) His name is Jack - but I've picked out another name for him should I be the lucky adoptive parent. I'm not holding out much hope though - but we'll see.

I am also mothering a box turtle until I can make other arrangements for it. I was leaving for the office the other morning and it was walking across my drive. I was afraid the little urchins in the neighborhood (There are 8 kids on one side of me and 5 on the other)would get a hold of it and hurt it so I put it in the garage. I was in touch with a rescue today who said they'd take it if my nephew's girlfriend's brother who has turtles doesn't want him. Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th.
