To give you an idea of how utterly spoiled I've become after working at home for one short month - I'm sitting here pouting because I have to drive into the office tomorrow to work. I am dreading getting up at 5:30 instead of my typical 7:00 AM and navigating the traffic. Tomorrow will be an excruciatingly long day. I won't post anything new until tomorrow evening. If I am too traumatized by the day I may not post at all!
Monday, I received a check in the mail for $15,000 from my insurance company for hail damage to my roof and siding. I didn't even know we had a storm here but apparently we did----last October. Tomorrow, the new siding gets installed. The old siding is aluminum and probably the original siding circa 1950's! Today I heard the contractors installing new siding for one of my neighbors. All day long nothing but POUNDING. There is no way I'd be able to work from home with all the racket. So tomorrow, I'll leave for work with a yellow house and I'll return to a grey house. I'm anxious to see the transformation. When it's time to do the roof & gutters I'm going to make them schedule it on a day that I am off. Now, if I could just figure out a way to get hail damage to my floors and kitchen.
A longtime, dear friend of mine is in the hospital in critical condition. Please remember my friend, Nancy and her family in whatever chants, meditations or prayers that you do. She's had a rough go of it and she could use a break, blessings or run of good luck.
