If you have not checked out Gmail (Google's email system) I suggest you take the time to do so. I changed to Gmail several months ago when I switched internet providers. The email I had, was conditional. As long as I kept the same ISP, I kept the same email address. With Gmail, I can change internet providers every month if I'd like, and my email address never has to change. I know, I know....I can hear you saying "so what, it's just email?" I'll tell you so what.....
Gmail makes email easy. With more than 2,500 megabytes of free storage, you never need to throw messages away. And with a powerful built-in Google search engine, you no longer need to set up folders, file your mail, or remember where you stored your messages. Just search for what you want. You'll not only find the message you have in mind, but all the other messages that are part of the same conversation – arranged in chronological order so you can easily put everything in context.
Google search is at the heart of Gmail. Fast, efficient, effective. Just type a few keywords into the search box and your message appears. You don't have to remember where you put your mail. Click HERE to read about all it's features.
Gmail is just the begining. Once you have your gmail account you can add igoogle - your own internet desk top. I love it so much I've made it my home page. I've been able to put my email, google talk (an instant messenger system) a desk top calander which is easy to add important appointments to, in one location. I have been able to set up a tabs to organize all the things I do on line from the igoogle desktop. I have a tab with all the RSS feeds for all blogs I like to read. All the blogs I read on one page! I have another tab with all the news links I check on one page. This desktop has made my life really easy, will save me lots of time and it's easy to set up as well. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.

with blogger comes a google account which opened me up to the world of gmail and google reader. i have since put all of my sidebar links to blogs i read into the reader. i get around a lot more to read these days. course- that could be considered a downside to my 5 loyal readers since i don't post nearly as much anymore :)
