Stuff

A cold and rainy day here in Ohio. Guess it would go with the mood of most of the people here in Columbus (I would be the exception) who are still trying to come to terms with the fact that the #1 Buckeye's lost on their home turf yesterday dashing their dreams of a national championship trip. Boo-friggin-hoo! This is what happens when you buy into the hype and hang your sense of self worth on the win-loss ratio of a damn football team. Now perhaps the good citizens of Columbus can focus their attention on issues that really have an impact on their lives.

I will still have to endure the whole "Beat Michigan Week" crap next week. Michigan is OSU's biggest rival. It's apparently a bigger deal to the lame brains here than it is in Michigan. The winner of the game goes to the Rose Bowl. It will be in the press 24/7. Thank God for XM!

I am working in the office starting Monday for a total of 7 days. Actually it's for training and I will really miss the extra hour overtime each day. The extra cash - especially this time of year - is nice. Most days - we don't even have to be into the office until 9:30 so I don't have to deal with rush hour traffic and I can pretty much get up at the same time I have been. They have also told us we can wear jeans this week. Jeans and OSU shirts for "Beat Michigan Week" I will be wearing Michigan colors and a Michigan sweat shirt.....my passive aggressive method of protesting the nonsense. I am such a poop! The upside is that although we have to give up our flannel pant suits for the week, we get to dress down for the office. So it's all worked out. I am getting ready to go out into the cold and rain to fill up my car and get some cash for the work week. The next week I will only have to go into the office Mon and Tues since my vacation starts Wednesday through Monday.

Found a bookshelf I liked for the home office and ordered it earlier in the week. I'll post a pic when it arrives. It's turning into a nice comfy space (minus the view) .

Well, I'm off to run a couple errands in preparation for tomorrow. Have a great week!
