I have been negligent about posting the past few days - it's just a busy time of year and more so for me this year.
My son called me out of the blue last Thursday and asked if he could come home for Christmas. I haven't seen my son for 4 years. "Of course!" I said. I told him to call his father and if his father would agree to purchase a ticket for him and get him on a plane then I'd pay half. Well....I picked him up at the airport at midnight last night and can't stop staring at him. I am happy to have him here.
The downer is that I am only off three days while he's here but at least I work from home. I had planned on sending him money for Christmas and now that he's here I have no idea what to get him. If anyone has any ideas on what to get a 20 year old please let me know. He lives in a dorm environment so expensive electronics are out since his locker was broken in to a couple of weeks ago.
I will try to post more 'stuff' later.
Hugs and Happy Holidays!

Hugs to you!!! Best Christmas for you in a longggggggg time I hope and pray. Pass on a hello and a hug to lil P from all of us.
That's so great that your son could visit! We hope you guys can have a WONDERFUL holiday together.
Instead of buying him more "stuff," why not take him out to do something special? It will be a lasting Christmas memory for both of you.
I couldn't agree more with dostoy. What a wonderful Christmas present for both of you. Have some wonderful time together. Go to some place that means something significant to both of you (or create your own new significant place), and get silly or serious photos taken of the two of you together. Watch sappy Christmas movies. Play in the snow together.
Merry Christmas.
that is so great! have a happy holiday! dorm eh? geez- i haven't seen the inside of one of those in awhile. toaster oven?
Great to be spending time with your son. I hope all is well. Don't worry about a gift, buy it when you have time to think about it and send it. tell him you don't know what to get, ask him what he wants. Have a great Christmas and a great visit.
Peace to All.
