Butcher celebrates lotto win with chicken leg giveaway

Hundreds of well-wishers and bargain hounds queued up Thursday as a newly minted lottery millionaire they affectionately call "Joe from the butcher shop" celebrated his $14.5-million windfall by handing out more than 22,000 kilograms of free chicken legs.

Jose Lima began buying lottery tickets 10 years ago and vowed that if he were to ever hit it rich, he'd give $5,000 to each of the 50 employees at his two butcher shops and share his wealth with his customers.

On Thursday, Lima proved to be a man of his word.
