In an interview with politico.com, writer Danny Strong reveals that he gave Jim Baker what amounted to script approval rights. He avoids mentioning that he didn't interview at least two of the key figures in the 2000 recount, Bill Daley and Warren Christopher, until after shooting had begun. Unlike Baker, Christopher was never even given an opportunity to review the script. The film seems to be headed in the same direction as the Supreme Court did in 2000--decide where you want to come out and invent the facts or the law to fit.
