Weekly Savings Tip - National Teach Children to Save Day

National "Teach Children to Save" Day is sponsored by the American Banking Association. It is never too early to start teaching your children about money and the importance of saving.

Begin by giving your young child a small weekly allowance and explaining the concepts of saving, spending, and giving. Providing a monthly allowance to an older child is one way to teach budgeting and money management. For more information on How to Teach Your Children About Money, visit the Childhood section on the 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy site.

April is Financial Literacy Month, so take steps to ensure your children know to handle their own money wisely. Visit www.FeedthePig.org for more money-saving tips.
