A chilling interview.
Those who failed to stand in the way of the administration's march to war by not taking the time to review the evidence (John McCain, Hillary Clinton) are just as much to blame for the war in my opinion as the administration who lied us into it and should be held accountable.
So many of us who were branded as 'unpatriotic' or 'naive' or simply dismissed as 'liberals' (as if there's something wrong with progressive thinking) during the run up to the war - KNEW the information being disseminated was inaccurate. We knew because we got on line and read the news and dissenting opinions that were out there to be read. THAT is why there was so much fierce opposition to this president and his policies and so much anger towards the main stream media - because those of us that the media and right wing love to refer to as the liberal wing of the Democrat Party, knew the reasons for war were a lie. The big question is - that if WE knew , how come those in power or charged with oversight didn't know?
And that, boys and girls, is why Hillary Clinton had no support from the base of the Democrat Party for the nomination - her vote on the war, sealed her fate just as this intelligence report vindicates us 'anti-war liberals'. We were right --- all of you who were cheerleaders for the president and his war were wrong. Four thousand dead GI's and thousands of dead Iraqi's later - we have the 'official' truth. America should be outraged......but once again, hardly a murmur. I hope there is a resounding roar from the people in November.
To those of you who were fooled....let this be a lesson to you. Question the government and question the media.
