House Hunting

Update: I found this 'before' pic of the house on the assessors web site. Pretty dramatic, huh?

Of the two I looked at today this one
is the better of the two. The victorian looking one was not in as good of shape as appeared in the photo's. The roof was in need of repair and the inside walls and wordwork were in bad shape. The house in this photo has been completely renovated and the only thing I'd add immediately would be putting a fence up so I would be inside a fence between the garage and the house. It is in what was a bad area of town but block after block is being taken over by the city and the homes torn down or remodeled. There is a 10 year tax abatement with this property as well as $10,000 grant money for a down payment. I really did like the home and liked the idea of being part of the re-birth of the community.

oooh- that's a nice one. it's all renovated so it's ready to move into without any fuss. the rooms look nice sized and the kitchen has counter space and cupboards (a plus with me anyway)- not too much yard to worry about- it's a nice one :) i like the color too- and the inside- they did a nice job.
