I love Sunday mornings. There's something slow and easy about them. They seem more peaceful and relaxing than other mornings. It's probably all in my head.
Summer is in full swing as are the festivals that I love so much. Today I'm heading out to the Creekside Blues and Jazz Fest in Gahanna. Wanted to go yesterday but was afraid it would rain. Nothing but blue skies and sunshine today.
Work is work! Company is still hiring new staff...growth is good in these economic times. I will have 24 nurses working under me after this latest round of new hires gets on board. It's a lot to handle but working at home most days helps - as I am able to get more done at home than in the office. Probably also just "in my head".
I am excited about the garden. I can't wait for next year to expand it once again. Actually I'd like to plant all around the perimeter of the yard as well as the foundation - but I either need to hire someone to dig it all up at once or do it incrementally as it is hard work. Work I enjoy - but is gruelling and back breaking at my tender age. I would like to have a yard filled with flowers - an English garden of sorts.
I've already been out early and edged all around the back with the weed eater, put some peat moss down in the bed of annuals along the porch, stuck two new herbs in the ground (Rosemary and another variety of oregano).
Well, enjoy your Father's Day Sunday. For those of you who like me, lost their father, it can still be a joyful day filled with memories.

I love when you get personal and share part of your life and thoughts with me, (or us I guess, there must be other readers of your blog.)
I am a Dad. I spent Sunday morning in my pajamas until after noon. I didn't do anything but play on the computer, drink coffee and scratch my....
My youngest daughter called and wished me a great day, my older daughter, who is in the act of moving into my home with her 4 kids, used my van to move more of her stuff out of the house she rents and cannot afford, said, "Happy Father's Day" to me in person.
I want to think that when all is said and done and I'm long gone, I'll be appreciated like you appreciate your memories.
Peace.
Oh, what prompted me to comment on this particular post is the picture of the doughnuts. If I hadn't eaten so many in my younger days, i probably wouldn't be a diabetic today, yet I wouldn't trade the taste of a good doughnut or sweet roll for anything.
I wish someone would have said Happy Father's Day to me with a dozen glazed, chocolate covered, white frosted and sugared doughnuts for me to eat as I lounged Sunday morning.
Peace.
The wordverification is: sconz
Like scones, another sweet roll. I like them too along with cinnamin and pecan rolls, danish and bismarks!
YUMMMMMMM!
Happy Belated Dad's Day to ya! You're entitled to hang around in your PJ's until noon - heck I do that most days when I work at home :)
WOW dtr and 4 kids moving home. You are a good man/father. I don't know if I could let mine move home. I am so used to being on my own and alone it would really bug me having people in my space.
I LOVE donuts too. I saw the picture and had to have it! I have a terrible sweet tooth...love pasteries - get teased about that at the office because no other freak uses the word pasteries but me :) I lay off them mostly now 'cept for every now and then. I just don't keep that stuff around the house. BUT it is cheaper to eat donuts then fresh fruits and veggies!
Thanks for your nice words.
