A Washington state man blamed his ex-girlfriend for his decision to attach a homemade explosive device to his dog’s collar Sunday morning. She “put the devil in it,” he explained to police who came to his house following the explosion that killed the pup. He also clarified that he’d thrown his couch and other pieces of furniture onto his lawn after blowing up the dog because he was preparing for the rapture. The man was held on $500,000 bail and charged with unlawful possession of an explosive device and reckless endangerment. The county prosecutor is still debating whether to charge him with the dog’s death as well.
