Rare Zonkey Born at Mexico Zoo

Proof that love knows no limits, the unlikely romance between a female zebra named Rayas and a donkey named Ignacio at a zoo in Mexico has resulted in a rare and adorable baby "zonkey" named Khumba. The baby was born on April 21 at the Reynosa Zoo. Ignacio is a dwarf albino donkey who lives on a nearby farm, and according to the zoo, Rayas would visit him every afternoon when he crossed into the zoo. The pregnancy was a big surprise, as the zebra and donkey chromosomes are not usually compatible.
