Salisbury Steak



Ground beef comes alive in this wonderful budget friendly recipe that is ready and on the table in minutes. Covered with a magnificent beef gravy and served with mashed potatoes, this American classic may be one of the best ground beef recipes for the family. Ingredients
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1/3 cup bread crumbs
• 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/4 cup)
• 1 egg, beaten
• 2 tablespoons water
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 can (10.25-ounces) Beef Gravy


Instructions

1.Thoroughly mix the beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg and water in a medium bowl and shape firmly into 4 oval patties, 1/2 inch thick.

2.Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 10 minutes or until they're well browned on both sides. Pour off any fat.

3.Add the gravy and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the patties are cooked through.
